ESG

At MCS Markup, we understand that our purpose goes beyond what we do: it is also reflected in how we do it. Since our founding, we have acted with the conviction that our projects must generate value not only for businesses, but also for people and society.
On this page, we share some of MCS Markup’s ESG initiatives, highlighting social and environmental areas that reflect our values, our institutional commitment, and our vision for the future. We are constantly evolving, and we believe that sharing this journey strengthens relationships based on trust and contributes to building a consistent legacy.

Social

At MCS Markup, we believe that generating a positive impact is also part of our work. That is why we support initiatives that contribute to inclusion, education, human development, and expanded opportunities for children, adolescents, and young people.
Through partnerships and support, we seek to make a concrete contribution to projects that promote social transformation and help build more inclusive futures.

MCS Markup supported Instituto Nadando com Daniel Dias through pro bono external audit services in 2024 and 2025. The initiative promotes the inclusion of children and adolescents with disabilities in swimming, offering specialized training and adapted resources that support participants’ physical, emotional, and social development.

In 2024, MCS Markup supported the Financial Education in Schools Project by Grupo Ecoarte through the ISS Law. Aimed at young people from public schools, the project uses art and theater to address topics such as financial education, responsible consumption, and the development of good habits, making learning more accessible, engaging, and meaningful.

Financial Almanac for Young People

In line with its commitment to education and social development, MCS Markup supported the Financial Almanac for Young People through the ISS Law. The initiative seeks to disseminate financial education content in an accessible way that is connected to students’ everyday lives, contributing to the development of more responsible habits related to planning, consumption, and decision-making.

Another relevant MCS Markup partnership began in 2024 and continued into 2025, with pro bono BPO services provided to Plataforma Impact. The organization develops training and employability programs for young people from vulnerable communities, connecting this talent to the technology sector and expanding opportunities for entry into the job market.

MCS Markup’s support for Instituto Compartilhar also reinforces this commitment to the development of children and adolescents. The initiative is aligned with the involvement of MCS Markup’s founding partner, Carlos Carneiro, as a member of the project’s Fiscal Council. With its own methodology, the Institute promotes skills development through sports, fostering self-esteem, discipline, social interaction, and teamwork.
By supporting projects like these, MCS Markup reaffirms its commitment to social transformation and to building a more inclusive future in which education, sports, and human development are effective instruments of change.

Environmental

MCS Markup’s ESG agenda is also reflected in initiatives focused on sustainability and on reducing the environmental impact of our operations.
At our Rio de Janeiro office, we have begun sourcing part of our electricity from solar panels, an initiative that helps reduce environmental impact, decreases our dependence on the conventional power grid, and promotes greater operational efficiency.

Since 2015, MCS Markup has also eliminated disposable plastic cups at its offices. Since then, employees, clients, and partners have been welcomed with reusable bamboo or glass cups, distributed in onboarding kits and at internal events. The initiative reinforces our commitment to simple but consistent practices aimed at reducing waste and promoting more responsible consumption.

In addition to our internal initiatives, we also support our clients in their sustainability journeys. We provide strategic and practical support in assessing companies’ readiness for IFRS S1 and S2 standards, combining our experience in corporate governance, sustainability, and integrated reporting.

As part of this process, we evaluate companies’ level of preparedness for the new requirements, identify gaps in reporting and governance processes, and present objective recommendations to promote greater alignment between financial and sustainability information.
